ah…today has been wonderful! i was awakened by the sizzle of fresh cooked bacon (and matt’s phone call) and the smell of freshly cooked blueberry pancakes!! my amazing wife woke up before me and had breakfast (my fav meal of the day) ready! whoo hooo!!!

then i headed over to del norte to get my tennis on. mr larson i will conquer you soon - it is only a matter of time!!

then it was back to the pad - clean up and head on to san fran!!

traffic was easy - and amanda made lunch to eat in the car and it was so great. our first destination was amoeba music - where we picked up the ’she and him’ record. ok - sorry but dont buy it. we dislike it very much. actually - we have one for sale if you are interested…..ha!

now, much thanks to ry we are sippin on some amazing coffee here:

Jesus for President

so i started reading this book this morning and it is wrecking me. and i’m only 40 pages in. Along with the fact that this is the most holistically designed book i have ever read - what lies inside is truly the heart of our God. anyone else reading this right now? if so i’d love to chat about it.here is what i am meditating on this morning:

(page 34-35) it’s hard to wrap your hands around a God who, when asked for a name, says “I AM”. But let’s not forget that this is the same king who would rather stoop to camping out in the wilderness with the refugee people than get shut up in palaces or megachurches or oval offices.

Bishop Helder Camara used to instruct his catechists, ‘Sisters and brothers, watch how you live. Your lives may be the only gospel your neighbours will ever read.’ We are all witnesses, at every moment of the day. That does not mean shouting the Creed from the rooftops. It means living in such a way that our lives would not make sense if God did not exist.

which begs the question…would your life make sense if God didnt exist?
