my boys are rolling - we got a 2 game lead - a 2 game shutout going into pittsburg. man, i love this game!

today - death cab took over stereogum (a music blog) and added much much content that is worth checking out. highlights include a video and mp3 of long division from a live set in seattle and a video interview of ‘the making of narrow stairs.’ good stuff i tell ya. i havent taken the cd out of the car since we got it. check out all ya need here: stereogum.com.

whoo hooo!!

had a sweet time of sacred space this morning. so funny how desperation brings nearness and awakening where once there was what seemed to be distance and blindness. maybe this should be my hearts attitude all the time…hmm…

anyways - read this sweet quote from my time this morning and had to pass it on:

Whatever else we know about the Father of Jesus, it is clear that he does not protect his loved ones from wickedness, but rather gives them the grace to bring good out of evil, provided they do not follow the example of those who do them wrong.

God - may i not follow the example of those who do me wrong, but give me grace to bring good out of evil. Amen.

why is it that in a time of desperation and complete and utter brokenness that worship exists in a very full, tangible, and ‘real’ way?
tonight was an amazing time for me to connect with my maker in a time of worship during rehearsal - a connection was there that i haven’t experienced in a long time.
being a worship leader i must say i have been at a many different band rehearsals. and lets be honest - some are way more productive than others; some more engaging than others.
tonight i was in rhythm with my creator and i could feel his presence.
