man - what a morning!! lead worship at the vista community this morning and had a blast! thanks guys for the invite and to the wades for letting us crash their pad! here are the songs we did -

it attacked me last night…i dont think there is anything worse than throwing up. so so horrible. today i am trying to rest so we can head up to austin in a few. i guess the best thing is that you always feel better after the fact. here’s to me getting some quality rest so we can celebrate necole marlow tonight!! woo hoo!!

what a great time we have had so far! it truely has been a break from it all. sleeping in til 9 every morning - not rushing out the door….ah….so great. on monday we did lunch at the magnolia cafe, then hit up mozarts down by the lake - then hiked up mt bonnell. so beautiful! the weather was incredible.
yesterday it was raining like crazy all day - so we headed down to feed my addiction: waterloo records, the best record store in the us - and scored some new tunes: rosie thomas, arcade fire, aqualung, and bright eyes new ep. oh yea. score. then last night we hit up some good ol california lovin WAHOOS!!! oh the maui bowl - how i’ve missed you. post wahoos it was time for fat tire and guinness on tap and chill for a bit - then back to the marlow for good ol ai.
today we are heading to our fav breakfast spot: austin java - then hopefully we can get in to rosie thomas tonight! oh yea!! sxsw here we come!
we are back safe in h-town. look for an update soon! time for bed…after our 2am night last night…
so on fri morn amanda had to work til noon. then after that we got in the car and headed to AUSTIN!! we surprised nikki with ticketes to damien jurado and rosie thomas! we had a blast in austin - got into town and met up with chris. from there we headed down to the lake and ate at a great little place called the hula hut. necole met us at dinner and after a yummy meal we walked next door to mozarts cafe. what a great place! huge patio overlooking the lake. so so sweet!!from there we drove back down to 6th st and walked over to emo’s where the concert was. the opening band went on at 10.30pm and played for an hour. oh, and THEY WERE HORRIBLE!!! so after enduring that ear pain it was good ol rosie’s turn! man she is so funny and so good live. here are the pics:
rosie had her brother sing and play on most of the songs and it was so great! he must be the one on the albums because it sounded exactly like it.
after rosie finished damien jurado and his crew made the stage. by this time it was like 12.45am and we were beat…so we stayed til like 1.30am and then headed back to the marlows to crash.what a marvelous day!
